Adaptis to Sponsor Educational Session at MHPA Conference
April 10, 2006
Seattle, WA – Adaptis, a leading single source for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions for health payers, today announced that it will sponsor a half-day educational session of Medicaid Health Plans of America’s (MPHA) upcoming event titled, “Medicare Part D: The First 100 Days.” The event will take place in Washington, D.C. April 18-20, 2006. The Adaptis-sponsored session, scheduled for the afternoon of April 18th, will feature industry experts who will provide health plans with actionable strategies to ensure operational readiness for Medicare Advantage.
The topics covered in the session will focus on some of the key issues that Medicaid health plans should consider as they prepare to launch this new line of business, and will provide a readiness roadmap for planning in these key areas: reimbursement challenges, contractual implications, operational impacts, medical management, and decision support.
Thomas L. Johnson, Executive Director for MHPA, applauded the proactive role Adaptis is taking to educate the market. He stated, “Medicare Advantage offers Medicaid health plans the opportunity for increased reimbursement and product line expansion, however launching any new line of business always involves a certain amount of risk.” Johnson added, “The key to success is learning about and preparing for the opportunities and impacts of Medicare Advantage, which is why we are so pleased to have Adaptis on board to provide this critical education session.”
