Adaptis Inc. Releases Oracle®-Based Medicaid Administration System to Help Health Plans
June 25, 2003
Seattle, WA – Adaptis Inc. today announced the release of the Adaptis™ system 2.0, the company’s Oracle®-based system for health plan administrative processing.
Robust platform allows for more tailorable services designed for each customer’s specific needs.
Adaptis provides business process outsourcing services — including claims management, member and provider services, reimbursement processing and enterprise reporting — to health plans with a managed health care orgnization line of business to help them reduce costs and enhance operational efficiencies while complying with federal and local regulations.
Adaptis’ robust new platform facilitates the integration of the company’s managed health care orgnization expertise with its best-of-breed technology to provide highly adaptable services for customers. When health plans outsource the administrative aspects of their managed health care orgnization business, they become more able to focus on strategic functions such as medical management and provider relations.
“The Adaptis system was designed to be highly customizable so that we can easily tailor our services to respond to each customer’s specific objectives,” explained James Anderson, CEO of Adaptis. “The flexible, adaptable rules-based platform is the basis of Adaptis’ customer - focused approach to business process outsourcing services.”
More secure and more scalable than previous versions, the Adaptis system 2.0 can better accommodate growth and service a larger number of plan members. The platform’s multi-tiered architecture is designed in distinct layers, making it easy to customize the application to fit the size, structure and regulatory requirements of any managed health care plan. As state and federal regulations change, updates to the business logic tier can be made seamlessly, resulting in quicker and easier modifications to data tables, business rules and other elements. The architecture integrates easily with existing legacy systems, at the same time supporting continuous evolution of the underlying technology. Additionally, the Adaptis system 2.0 uses a newly enhanced Web-based interface that supports referrals to specialists, notifications of hospitalization, claims status queries, reporting and decision support.
“As an Adaptis client, we anticipate the new features of the Adaptis system 2.0 will allow for further growth, as well as support new products, programs and enhanced provider communication,” said Darnell Dent, chief executive officer of Community Health Plan of Washington.
